As I graduated from college, I wanted the mishaps and adventures documented by my LiveJournal to no longer exist. Instead, I thought I'd latch on to the new wave of social networking sites -- everyone had a profile with their pictures and an abbreviated list of likes and dislikes. But now, the overwhelming presence of Tweets as Facebook statuses, offers to join my "friends" Mafias (or even worse, Farmville operations), and general internet stalking/loitering has inspired me to give all that the finger and move on.
Basically, I'm ready to leave behind the world of social networking, while maintaining an online presence on my own terms. The purpose of this blog is to chronicle real-life adventures -- the trips I'm taking, the books I'm reading, the muffins I'm baking (which are sure to be plenty!), the meals I'm learning (I'm a much better baker), music I'm listening to (although I'll leave most of this to EarsOfTheBeholder.com -- he's my roommate, and has much better taste in music than I do), and the plentiful random events that happen when you work as a social worker, helping adults with developmental disabilities lead independent lives.
Welcome to my blog. I hope it's at least half as entertaining as the real life that inspires it.
